DIOCESAN CONVENTION
“Be Thou My Vision”
The 29th Annual Convention of the Diocese of West Tennessee will be held Thursday, March 4 through Saturday, March 6, here at Church of the Holy Apostles. We are very excited to welcome The Rt. Rev. Don Johnson, Bishop of West Tennessee, The Rt. Rev. Michie Klusmeyer, Bishop of West Virginia, diocesan clergy and delegates, who will join us for the weekend. The theme of the convention is “Be Thou My Vision.”
Volunteers Still Needed
That time is approaching fast and we will need all of Holy Apostles to envision themselves coming together and getting involved to make it a success. Volunteer sign-up sheets are on the table in the corridor outside the nave, so please pick some shifts for your favorite committees and sign up. Sign up for as many as you can handle. There are shifts to fill from early Thursday morning through Saturday afternoon. Registration and Hospitality need the most man hours, but if there is something you like to do, there is a committee and a shift or two just waiting for your name. If you have any questions about committee duties, please talk to that chairman and he/she will be delighted to fill you in and tell you it’s the most fun committee so you must join.
Remember volunteers are asked to wear red and are respectfully requested to park at St. George's High School and use the shuttle which will run continually during the Convention.

ABOUT THE DIOCESAN CONVENTION
The Convention is the legislative body of the Diocese and shall exercise all powers not reserved to the Bishop by the Canons or tradition, or reserved to any other entity of the Diocese. Elected lay representatives and canonically resident clergy from each parish and mission in the Diocese attend as delegates to the Convention. During the Convention, various diocesan officers are elected, and other key diocesan leadership positions are either elected or appointed as provided for by Canons. The Convention adopts the annual budget for the Diocese and considers as a body other matters germane to the mission and operation of the Diocese.
