COMMITTEES

The Church of the Holy Apostles is strengthened by the numerous selfless individuals who give of their time and talent by serving on the Church’s many committees.  The work of these committees is truly what keeps our church running and we are pleased that we have an extraordinary wealth of talented helpers.  In addition to volunteers who participate in the worship, education, and outreach activities of the parish, we encourage our members to also serve on one or more committees each year, so please email the church office if you would like to participate.

The various committees and their responsibilities are listed below:

 

Buildings and Grounds Committee – oversees the maintenance and improvement of our beautiful physical facility and grounds maintenance.  Skilled volunteers for occasional small repairs – carpentry, plumbing, welding, electrical – are especially welcomed. 

Children’s Formation Committee – plans and implements the various offerings for children from birth through fifth grade.

Fellowship Committee – plans and implements the various fellowship events in the parish.

Finance Committee – keeps tabs on the church’s income and expenditures, keeping us good stewards of people’s donations.

Newcomers Committee – plans and implements the various ways we welcome guests into the parish.

Outreach Committee – plans and implements the various ways we reach out to those in need.

Pastoral Care Committee – plans and implements the various ways we reach out to our own members with love and care.

Stewardship Committee – works with the vestry’s vision and goals to design and implement an annual campaign that includes opportunities for parishioners to share their treasure, time and talent.

Worship Committee – plans and implements our worship services and is made up of the heads of each of the ministries that take part in worship.

Youth Formation Committee – plans and implements programming for youth ages sixth through twelfth grades.
